Químicos del Cauca Ltda.
Químicos del Cauca was born as an answer to the needs of Colombian Basic Chemistry's main customers, in order to substitute the use of Oleum in its processes, and instead, to directly use Sulfonic Acid, in order to be more efficient and environmentally friendly. The plant began production in March 2002. During its operation its has gained a reputation for manufacturing a product of outstanding quality for the most well known and important companies in the sector of detergents in the Andean Community of Nations.
In 2003 Químicos del Cauca achieved the certification of its System of Quality Control according to ISO 9001 regulations, and in 2006 it implemented the System of Environmental Performance.
In keeping with the global tendency of using renewable raw materials, projects are being carried out to manufacture products like Sulfonated Methyl Ester from palm oil, thus taking advantage of the availability of oleochemicals in Colombia.
